MeritLine.com has the AZiO USB 2.0 Micro Bluetooth Adapter for $14 - $10 rebate [Exp 1/31] + $0 shipping = $4 shipped after rebate. It's pretty small, but not as small as some of the other mini adapters out there.

I don't know anything about the AZiO brand but if it is sold by Meritline, there's a good chance this thing will burn your house down.

Ok, i have this exact little adapter plugged into the laptop at all times. The included software works fine for connecting my bluetooth mouse, my bluetooth headset in either headset or stereo headphones profile, and connecting to the file system on my phone. Software may not be the most intuitive.. but it works. I've occasionally had to reset the connection between the phone and os to get it to list all the files on the phone, but very rarely.
Also, just today i was pulling the guy out of the back of my laptop.. and the little plastic cover came off instead of the whole adapter.. it looks like a little glue could reattach it easily.. but still kinda crappy.

I have ordered lots of items from Meritline and had good results. If you can tolerate 2 week shipping times you can watch out for specials on DealExtreme. They seem to have just about any Bluetooth adapter known.

lol ... i have a larger dongle made by azio, also wireless usb adapter, 2.5 sata enclosure. no problems so far. bt uses toshiba stack. no drivers needed for xp sp2,3/vista/w7. no problems with meritline or manufacturers rebates. DX has something like this +/- a few $ without rebates free shipping.

I've bought a lot of stuff from Dealextreme.com and even though it takes a bit of time to arrive it always does and they appear very nice
They have one of these for $2.70 free shipped
