If it has a keyboard its not a tablet. Its just a notebook with a swiveling touchscreen. Sometimes referred to as a 'convertible'. But is by no means really a tablet.

Slow crappy processor and tiny hard drive. Might as well get a HP tablet when they go on sale. A little heavier but much better performance. this one is a dog.

it's sad that they cripple a good device with a crappy cpu

and then try to charge a small fortune for it after it's been returned...

Who, if anyone out there, has one of these?

#6, I *DID* have one until some scum stole it. Wasn't too bad actually, but I had the 1.33ghz Core2Duo and 64gb SSD... costed about 1k. VERY nice for a tablet, light, but the processor did seem like the bottleneck.

#1, the terminology is vague. Most of the time, "tablet" refers to a convertible or hybrid tablet; "slate" refers to a purist's tablet.

#6, I have it and I'm typing on it right now. I refuse to leave it alone because of what happened to #7. I settled for the middle of the road 1.20ghz Core2Duo with 80gb hdd. Picked up the 3-year complete care plan so I can replace it in 2 years when this machine is completely outdated.

It's a very nice tablet and is the only one on the market with real/capacitance 'multi-touch' like an iphone. But like the others said, the processor is definitely the weakest point on this system. I do believe it's a low-voltage processor though- can somebody confirm this or correct me if I'm wrong?

WAIT for tablet netbooks from asus and others will cost less and generate less heat as well.

#9, the HP tx2 has multitouch... using it right now. The screen is manufactured by NTrig, the same source as dell.

#11, the HP tx2 has overheating issues. If HP implements the multi-touch capabilities to their 27xx business tablet series then we have a winner!

(HP must have just released their N-Trig tablets recently; I think Dell had the only N-Trig machine last year).

Free shipping, anybody know?

#10 Anyone who thinks a ULV Core 2 Duo is a bottleneck will be really disappointed with a single-core Atom, though.
