i broke down and bought one of these last weekend from bestbuy for $289.

its totally worthless. It takes FOREVER to open up internet explorer and actually view a web page. I thought my internet was acting up so i went to sites on both this and my laptop side by side and this took about 15x longer to load on every page i tried.

i love how tiny and light it is. perfect for looking up informercial websites or to order girls gone wild dvds from the bed, but totally useless until the processors get faster.

i want to return it, but 15% restock fee at bestbuy. damnit

Mine works great.. But its a mini 9.. Same specs minus xp though.. I will never understand why people are so tied to xp.

Browses fine, gimp runs quickly for image editing, plays music, full screen video including divx right out of the box..

#2, I suspect your problem is the SSD, not the processor when it comes to webpages unless they have quite a lot of flash ads on them. To isolate that, try running Firefox with everything cached to memory, it'll take a manual setting change.

OnSale.com is the same company as PCMall.com and MacMall.com. (This alone should dissuade you: a company that suffers from multiple identity disorder does so intentionally, to avoid the bad reputation spreading.) Look up all three stores on resellerratings - customers from all agree these stores have very shady business practices. Tactics range from double-billing, cancelled orders with no notice, price increases, shipping empty boxes, and classic bait-and-switch scams.

Highly recommended to stay away from Onsale/PCMall/MacMall.com
