it would be nice if you could control these through your iphone via the internet.

There is only 1 remote for all the plugs. It works great! Real handy at Christmas time with the tree and other lights.

I bought 2 of these.
they suck. They are only useful in near-field applications (like the aforementioned christmas lights)
the light on channel 1 (in both of mine) worked great from any distance.
Channel 2 and 3, you have to be right on top of, in order for them to turn off. I used them for basement lighting, where the boiler room had no overhead light, nor the fusebox room.
I used the third channel for an aux. room light.
both lights are line of site to the switch, which i placed in a central location, velcroed near the stairs. only channel 1 works with any success. the others - by the time i am close enough for it to work, i can just reach out and turn on the effing light manually.

Check out x10 at http://www.x10.com/onsale/index.html. Don't be scared by the scantily dressed babes. The products, if you buy them on sale, can be pretty good.

These worked great gettin' rid of grandma -- we told her they were the clapper and left the lights on when we left --
and she thought she couldn't sleep with the lights on...

I have this. Works great for resetting my cable modem and router without having get up and go pull the plug. Only downside is that it takes a 23A 12Volt battery which costs $5 at Radioshack.

I could not disagree with #15 more.
In my experience (I bought 2 sets of these) this product is absolute garbage.
It work intermittently at best, and most of the time the remote does not work at all (on both sets I got). I though the first one was a fluke so I tired a 2nd one. NEVER again, shame on them for selling this.

Firstly, Costco sells 3 pack remove control switch for $16 with battery (save another $2) Secondly, like others said, Geeks' version doesn't work well. I have two sets(6 switch), one out of each set was not working well. I haven't try the costco ones, hope it works better.
