3-Pack of 6 Ft HDMI M-M CablesYesBuy.net has the 3 Pack 6ft (2m) Gold-plated Male to Male HDMI Cable for $9 with free shipping. A good generic cable for those looking to save money over the "monster" variety, while maintaining the buzz of "Gold Plated Connectors".

Unless they changed suppliers, these are especially thin, about the size of a round USB cable. Monoprice has relatively cheap heavier cables if that's what you're looking for.

Was at Costco tonight and over heard a Costco employee explaining to a couple that it's at least worth getting a medium grade cable if you don't won't to spend the money on the Monster brand. Something about the higher mega hertz TVs pulling a better signal over the more expensive cable.

not all cables are the same. The amount of insulation provided around the wires, the quality of the wires themselves. If you are tossing more than $2000 into a TV why not go the extra step and get the quality cables and components to get the best out of it? It only makes sense.

AGREED!
Not all cables are the same!
Kinda like not all batteries are the same.
Don't mix good with bad (cheap) and expect good.

Yeah I keep posting spend a few more dollars on more expensive cables...you can tell a difference.
#10 Good point. If you spend a couple thousand on your home theater then why not shell out $20-$50 more for a decent set of cables where you will see a difference. The shielding around these cables are garbage and will cause noise...I am a victim of it.

For a very short length (like 6 feet) you won't see too much of a diference between the expensive and less expensive cables as there is very little signal degradation in that short an expanse, now if you need a 10 foot or over cable you may want to spend the extra money.
