Nice unit, I have read about it and this ones tell you after you put in what your killwhat power cost you say 10 cents per KWH it then will display how much that item will cost you to use, and what I really like is when a device is turned off it can still draw almost the same power..
My Polk powered speakers draw 13 KWH while idle so now I leave them unpluged..

That's why you buy energysaver electronics (much less power at when not at use)

I think the best feature of the 4460 over the 4400 is that the 4460 doesn't forget its previous totals when unplugged.

Buy the cheaper $18 one and spend $3 on a pocket calculator.

This thing works and is a real eye opener!
Don't leave unused power adapters plugged in, they just sit there and draw power out ... what a waste of energy.
Oh yeah and this will really make you think twice about leaving your toaster oven plugged in all the time!

Has anyone ever plug a Kill a Watt into a Kill a Watt to find out how much electricity you are wasting by monitoring how much energy you are wasting?

Look, the best feature of the 4460 over the 4400 is that you can unplug it and still be able to get the information you recorded after it's been unplugged. If you've got the thing plugged in behind your refrigerator or some other major appliance to see how much energy it uses, you can't really see it if it's in an awkward position. If that's something you'll do, that to me is worth the extra $10. If you'll never use it, yeah, get the 4400 and save $10.
