for $40 more, you might want to get the one with a 160GB hard drive and avoid the dogged slow SSD on this one.

Thanks... Quick question, A friend of mine said that the SSD's are better for battery life; is this true? I'm willing to take a hit in performance and space if I get 3 times more batterylife.

In the real-life tests I've seen, SSD is not giving you significant battery savings, maybe 5 to 10% on a good day. That was on regular laptops, not netbooks, however I don't see why netbooks would be different.
