Doubling the price is hardly the point. This is the very first I've seen a Nettop at Asus' original $199 price point. Bodes well for the future.

Good price, but try keyboard first, I found it really hard to use.

You can go with the deal above, which is the most basic(no included webcam and basic RAM and HD).
Or,
http://www.samsclub.com/shopping/navigate.do?dest=5&item_nbr=702612&iid=02-15-09_Homepage|POV|DellMini
The Sams Club model for $245 shipped. includes 4 color choices(dell charges $30-$50 extra), webcam(1.3MP), 8GB SSD, 1 GB Ram, Win XP Home, and 4 cell Batt. Downside, at checkout, says"4-6 weeks for delivery. Best price if you can wait.
Or,
go to Newegg and pay the going rate for the Asus, Acer, or Lenovo with REAL 2.5 spiner drives for about $299 some with free shipping.
I went with Newegg(I know some of you will say not a deal, could of got it such and such cousins website for less), BUT I need to have the replacement quick from a reliable source. SO after careful consideration I ordered the Lenovo S10.

They have the maxed out version for $50 more, but since the HP that died is only a little more than a year old. I can steal a bigger drive and 2GB Ram from it should I choose to. Plus many reviews give it praise for being the most "Laptop Like" of the mini's. The price is right, screen is... [Truncated]

This ghetto dog says this is the best deal for this moment in time, for one of these mini netbooks. Next week there will be second guessing over price, but not likely the model choice. Play with the Dell, ASUS, Acer, and Lenovo. You will likely agree that for $299 and a reasonable ship date it was the best choice to make from the deals out this weekend.

I have a Mini9, but I really think you would at least need bluetooth (and webcam in my case). I've gotten used to the keyboard, so don't let that deter you unless you have big fingers. It is a good buy, but I prefer XP, as you can always put Ubuntu on yourself if you prefer. At least the XP model gives you a cheap XP license.
