Can you program this to act as a kind of "secondary keyboard" for apps as well? I was thinking this might work well in conjunction with a Wacom or something.

I have the n52, been using it for years.
Great for FPS. Once you use it you'll never go back to just using your keyboard.

#1 Yes. This can be programmed for just about anything. Key re-mapping and macros are supported. They can be used for just about any app.

#4 Ditto.
I'd like to know from anyone who has upgraded from the old N52 to this version: Has the key response improved to what it should be?

btw, Belkin does suck for the "Payola" product review scheme and the gamepad was not their brainchild. But they managed to make the N52 with a feature set that made it a good deal at the time, and a better one at a discount. Got mine through a Ben's deal years back.

I've tried this version in the store, and the keys feel much better than the N52, which I've had for a few years.

It is useful for macros and extending the keyboard when using apps like Photoshop. I use it with my Wacom Intuos3, which is a real time-saver.

My n52 is still going strong for over 5 years!

I bought the original and then found a 2nd one for dirt cheap. The new one feels too light and the keys not as "crisp" when i press them. This model is OK, and worth every penny if you can find one.

I've owned the n52 for about 3 years. Absolutely love it.
