GoDaddy.com has .COM domain registration on sale for $1.19 for the first year (regularly $10) with coupon code LOVE99. They have good prices from a leading reputable registrar. If you've seen some of the other cheaper registrars, take note, as with many of them you don't actually own the domain you buy!

Just curious, does anyone have any examples of such registrars? maybe with a link to the ToS that states that you don't own the domain you buy?

I believe that M$ and Yahoo do that. Its yours till you try to go to another host.
