this is a pretty good deal. Keep in mind this is a 3/4 camera.

This camera takes great pictures. Only thing is that the lens are expensive and there aren't that many, if any, 3rd party lens for this camera.

I bought this camera with an additional 40-150mm lens last year for ~$579 and I use it for hiking. Relatively speaking, it is a bit smaller and lighter than it's compeition. No complaints so far and viewers of my photos have been complementary.

As an aside, this summer I was climbing down a rock face with the camera strap in my hand and lost my footing. When I corrected, I whipped the camera around like a mace and it slammed into the rock face. Since that time I have taken over 1000 pics with no issues.

The benefit of the 4/3 system in my mind is compactness. So I bought the E-420 instead for slightly less. I understand the 510 has IS. But I was willing to give that up.

I have some small beefs about my Oly. Shutter chirps like a bird. Weird. Camera goes to sleep and the only way to wake it up is to flip the on-off switch one full cycle. This will slow you down if you just want to grab your camera and shoot.

Nice price, I'm waiting for the Cannon D50 series to come down in price.
