No need for the fan. I have some Geil ram that runs at the same speed with even tighter timings that I got for $50. This is a bad deal. All the fan is going to do is make your case louder.

how useless. the hot air is going somewhere right? if its not out of the case it might be into your cpu or video card, and those are a lot hotter.

Actually #3, the amount of heat the memory produces at a given speed and voltage is a constant, so once the system has been running for awhile this doesn't increase case temps it just reduces memory temps.
Besides which, the amount of heat coming off of memory is fairly trivial so it won't be significant enough to effect the other parts even if you did increase the speed or voltage.
