I think the premium here is that it is super thin. 120 hz isn't 500 bucks extra generally

I think this is the Scarlet model (Premuim LG). If you're not a gamer or watch lots of sports, then 120hz wouldn't be worthy. I would spend the same for a 1080P 52"

120hz is for films/movies and eliminating 3:2 pull down you get when trying to display 24fps on a 60hz display.
Games are no more than 60hz and TV broadcast is generally only 30.

maybe from a computer hooked to this screen playing games, but as said above, consoles prolly only deal out 60Hz. Although I could see the 360 and PS3 having the possibility of a firmware upgrade to allow 120hz.
