The EPA loves the gas mileage but probably won't cover the emergency room charges.

Reminds me I need to return Pee-Wee's Big Adventure back to Netflix.

80cc is crazy on a bicycle, that's enough power for a motocross dirt bike.

Quality Engine Kits are about $600 (25cc to 40cc). They speed up to 40MPH and give 200 plus MPG.

My cousins used to have bikes with motors on them when we were growing up; very cool and a lot of fun! Highly recommend, especially for this price.

Wow this is cool! How does this work? If the bike can go 40mph, the pedals must be spinning really fast. Can your feet keep up?

Heidelbergensis can use this to ride around the garbage dump looking for food.

Isn't a reason for riding a bike to get exercise? If you want a moped buy a moped.

Be warned- crossing the 50cc threshold is bad. A 49cc engine on a bike is still considered a bike but a 50+cc engine on a bike and suddenly you aren't allowed to ride it on sidewalks and the like.

YMMV but pigs will f*ck with you if you buy an engine over 49cc's. I'm told they like to use their little taser-toys, so stay as far away from them as possible. And don't buy an engine for a bike over 49cc's.

(This is why there are so many engines on the web that claim to be exactly 49ccs)

These have been available here before, but users reported them to be quite unreliable.

My experience leads me to believe that all HandHeldItems.com sells is unreliable crap you don't want.

#11, you sound like a pig. Go tase some elderly woman or whatever you do to get your non-existant swine rocks off.

And yes, I do swerve towards your type when they're ticketing people on the side of the road.

#13, we don't wonder, we know... and BTW, anyone actually interested in these should research the laws covering mopeds in their own state. There are vague Federal laws covering mopeds and motorized bicycles, but the individual states have the final authority on them.
