Best deal on a 16GB card is at buy.com, Kingston for $38.97, shipped free. All 16GB's are only Class 2 though.

I have a 590IS which requires a high speed SD card in order to shoot continuous pictures. Is this card fast enough?

this is the fastest microSD class 6. if this doesnt work for your camera, then you are sol

My old Sandisk reader won't read SDHC, so Franco is right, if you don't have a new reader, you probably should go for one of the deals that bundle with a reader. Personally I like the following type, but you hardly ever see deals on them anymore.
