Best deal on a 16GB card is at buy.com, Kingston for $38.97, shipped free. All 16GB's are only Class 2 though.

Decent quality card. Transcend's "warranty" is very iffy. They tried scamming me in the past claiming if their adapters fall apart it voids warranty on the flash card.

I have a 590IS which requires a high speed SD card in order to shoot continuous pictures. Is this card fast enough?

My old Sandisk reader won't read SDHC, so Franco is right, if you don't have a new reader, you probably should go for one of the deals that bundle with a reader. Personally I like the following type, but you hardly ever see deals on them anymore.
