Still waiting for Amazon to drop the price. The tax with Dell is a baconbreaker for me.

Hadn't looked at this model before. In depth review here. http://www.steves-digicams.com/2008_reviews/canon_sx110.html
Gets good a good review. I have owned a couple of Canon S#IS's and liked them a lot. None have died on me. Only short comings for me on this one is I would like to shoot movies at a higher resolution and the zoom doesn't work in movie mode. I can zoom my current camera in movie mode and use it fairly often.

I saw this everytime this camera comes up, but another option is the Panasonic DMC-TZ5, it has high def video, but uses a proprietary Li-ion battery.

Not familiar with the Panasonic DMC-TZ5, but I do know that it is quite economical to be able to replace the Canon camera AA batteries as opposed to buying the proprietary battery packs used in other cameras. I opt for lithium AA batteries for spares and excellent quality rechargeables for everyday use. Alkaline AAs just do not cut it for the power demands of these cameras... they are useless.

Great little camera. I like it much better than the Panny DMC-TZ5. And this is a good price...
