"Refurbished" generally means purchase new and returned - pretty much new condition.
In this case, it means nothing less than "USED". These are off-lease computers that have been used for a year or more in an office environment (for desktops) or hauled all over the place (for laptops.)

It looked new, and performed like new. It is however, well dated.
I wouldn't want something that someone has used for a year or more when it comes to a laptop. What's your source #1?

read the web site
these are off lease machines.
I'm not knocking it, just the facts.
Look at the warranty dates.
They all just came off.

this coupon/link is for "dell financial services", these are used off-lease computers. "dell outlet" has customer returns that are "like new" (for the most part) and with full dell new computer warranty & support. very different and hard to tell from the post, I would not hesitate to recommend dell outlet's refurbished computers, but I have not purchased from dell financial services because they are used systems that aren't much le$$ than dell outlet.

Because, #2, I clicked on the link. You have a refurbished computer from Dell Outlet, not DFS.
DFS is not the same as Dell Outlet. They sell old, used computers.
#3, my source is the link Ben posted a few inches above your comment.

All is correct about them being used. However, if you look at the D820s, they have up to core 2 2.0 or 2.3 with almost a year left on the factory warranty. The price was A LOT better yesterday....get it shipped (no sales tax) for $550 for a 2.2 core 2, 3gRAM, 100G HD, 128VidRAM. Sure it's a year old unit, but the 8xx's are well reviewed; MUCH better than the 6500s that have replaced the D8xx series.

Then why would click on a deal from Dell? Hoping you might find some Mac deals there?

I got a D610 with 2GB memory from them in January with 30% off. Final cost $213.
