Once you factor in tax, you're up to $157.50. Newegg sells it (and normally delivers within 2 days) for $165. I'd rather save an hour or so of trying to get a salesman at MicroCenter to find the CPU in the back and just go with the sure thing, Newegg.

Still can't beat the Q9300 deal for $110 a few weeks ago.. Which is a much better processor imo

Yeah #12, I went to the store in Santa Clara (San Jose) they had an LCD display near the CPU case with prices of CPU's, Q6600 for $99, Q9300 for $109 and others but when I asked if they had them the guy just laughed like they never have them in stock or had one. I asked him why don't they take the sign down or at least update it, his answer was that some other store might have it. Yeah right the next closest is in SoCal. I've given up on them just a waste of time.

With a good aftermarket heatsink you shouldn't be limited to 3.6GHz with one of these, providing my motherboard and memory are decent or bios allows ratios like most do.

I paid $185 for a Q9300 from Microcenter a couple months back and have it overclocked stably to 3.6GHz. Even at $35 more than this CPU, it doesn't make any sense to stick with a dual core when a quad core is that close in price.
