Bought a pair for my father for christmas at about $25 more through the egg. He has a simple bluetooth phone but uses the combination of these headphones with the phone over a nice pair of Sennheiser headphones and his iPod that I bought him a three years ago. I think it is more of a convenience factor. I've listened to these and compared to normal earbuds, these sound great but not near the quality I would like for at home listening. On the go and as a headset, I would totally go with these.
I'm tempted to jump on this for a pair for when iPhoneOS 3.0 is released and bluetooth stereo is supported. Pairing with my Macbook for ventrilo and skype would be tempting if my macbook didn't suffer the bluetooth disconnect issue that is frequent to the first gen of Macbooks. But I think in the time it takes for that to happen, this will be the price of the headset or something new and better will be along.
