Or George Foreman. "It's a lean, mean, remote controlled switching machine!"

They were controlled over the power circuit.
I also had an X10 wireless interface and an X10 timed interface.
It was all very unreliable.
Most of the problems were caused by the "signal over the power circuit" interface in the remote controlled switches themselves. The remote controlled switch would often fail. I suspect they were vulnerable to power surges etc,.
This system by contrast only supports wireless direct to the remote controlled switches themselves. While significantly less versatile, if implemented well, it does have the capability of being much more reliable.
It would be very useful if someone who has already purchased this product were to comment on how well it performs.

I have these. They work fine with the included remote. I have 3 halogen lamps connected through these. I can turn off the lamps in my living room from my bed room. The remote frequency is 433.92 MHz.

I wonder how much the 12 volt model 23A battery (not included) for the remote costs?

#7, Checking Google products it seems the batteries go for between $5-$10 for a 6-pack.

I've always had good luck with all of my x10 components. I'm not sure about the issues #3 is talking about. You can expand and control much more with x10, but for simple jobs, this may be a good solution.
