Slingbox is a great idea, I have had a SlingboxPro for maybe a year or two.

Note, however--if you buy one, you will have trouble with the latest Slingplayer software for your Windows machine. I needed to roll back to the previous version. Hopefully they will get their act together soon and fix it.
