Considering how much car parts cost, let alone repairs at a shop, you might as well spend a couple dozen bucks on the creeper especially if you are working alone instead of having a helper to fetch your tools so you don't have to slide in and out as often.
This jack is pretty solid, the jack stands merely average, and the creeper better than the $20 junk but could be a bit wider and would've been better if it were one piece instead of 2.

You need some solid jack stands or your car will fall on you. I don't trust anything but hydrolic jacks.
