Id say yes #1. just like how they sell a wireless controller for the PC. Its an xbox controller with a pc adapter.

Doesn't work with the XBOX 360. My buddy found one in a hotel room, so I gave it to my nephew for his 360 (I used wired due to all the 2.4 congestion in my area). He couldn't get it to work, we looked it up, and sure enough it's just a PC headset that looks like a 360 headset. I guess they wanted to get more use out of the leftover parts.

oh, i got the original xbox 360 wireless headset from Gamecrazy on Sunday, 4/5/09 for $39.99 Brand New. So far so good works great for both Xbox 360 and Skype on PC.
