The airlines have a weight limit for luggage so I would think the spinners would be strong enough for a little more than the industry maximum. I find the spinners on luggage take a bit of training, especially if you've used fixed wheel luggage for a while. They also sit the luggage up an extra inch or so, which will cost you if the airline employee happens to be very strict with size limits. A 22" checked bag should be OK. I fly out of a smaller airport so most planes that service our airport won't allow 22" carry on.
