eSATA is preferable for a hard drive docking station. However, the eSATA is 1.5Gb throughput on this model, not 3Gb.

i have the same one (bought long ago during BF from radio snatch). the thermaltake rebate came in within a reasonable time. works well...no complaints. not sure what the people above think 3Gb will do for them vs. 1.5Gb...i don't stare at specs all day, but i highly doubt you will find a drive to saturate the 1.5Gb I/O to begin with...so the interface of 3Gb is pointless.
