better fix that Ben, 22" @ 1680x1050
This 4:3 monitor is pretty expensive for this resolution the way prices have fallen lately. I'd expect 1600x1200 for that price. Seems Acer monitors are a little behind on the time/price curve.
I believe this is 22" not 20".
I was going by Ben's posted stats. Are they wrong? What I said goes for the stats posted.
22in 300 dollars is pretty good deal after bf, I still like the Westinghouse 22in for 200 dollars I bought. enjoying it now
Acer 22 is $299.99 at Circuit City as well a different model i haven't done the spec differences...if you are lucky enough that they'll let you use the $40 off $199 coupon even if you print it out it is $259.99 at Circuit City for an Acer 22" Wide...I went today they wouldn't let me do it...
Fair deal if you missed the Samsung 22" at CC last week.
Why wouldn't they let you use the online coupon for 40 off 199? I went to CC last Friday and they accepted it when I bought my Samsung 22" LCD, no questions asked.
The only reason I'd say this deal is luke warm is because I've seen a lot of complaints on fatbacon about people having problems with their monitor.
$330 - $50 rebate [Exp 11/30] + $12 shipping + $50 rebate never came = $342 shipped
4:2.5, 5ms, 800:1, Ben's specs are for something else
How reliable is Acer with their monitors? Acer is a decent company but it is always better to wait for something that may be more reliable like a viewsonic or samsung. With that amount of money you may spend on this Acer monitor after rebate, you might as well wait a bit until the 23" viewsonic widescreen goes on sale and get that because I believe viewsonic to be better at making computer LCD's than Acer
is the viewing angle good? i want ot buy a monitor for my sister but she wants one that has a good viewing angle. How is this one?
most monitors have a decent viewing angle, although, you probably wont be using the max viewing angle on the monitor if you are just using it to have in front of you when using your computer. As for me, I'm very preferable to getting something along the lines of a viewsonic or samsung than the Acer just because of their reliability.
Fantastic. A 22" monitor that has a max native resolution that is exactly the same as my 14" laptop monitor. NEEXT.
#14, not to question you or anything, just that I have never seen a 14" laptop with 1680x1050 resolution LCD panel. The new Dell Latitude D620 got a 14" LCD with 1440 x 900 (WSXGA+) resolution, where the text is very small already if you ask me.
Can I just use an LCD TV for my computer?
You definitely could, most new LCD TV has DVI/HDMI input, or/and VGA input, just that you may not like the resolution, like 1366 x 768 for a 40in LCD.
#16, I was wondering the same thing. I would be quite happy with 1366 x 768 for a 23" LCD TV, used as a monitor thru DVI. However what sucks is....
...the pricing is strange. A 24" LCD monitor costs almost as much as a much bigger 32" LCD TV. But on the other hand, a 23" LCD TV is like 20% MORE expensive than a hardly smaller 22" LCD monitor.
SUCKS!!!!
Funny thing is, even as 27" LCDs are coming down into the high-$400's in price, the 23" are holding strong in the high-$300's and showing no signs of coming down. I would go for the LCD TV if it was quite cheaper than a comparative 22" LCD monitor. However, as things stand, anything above 22-23" is too big to be used as a desktop PC monitor, so guess I'll have to stick with my 19" LCD for now.
LCD will be dropping in the coming months. There are only a few players remaining for Plasma, and most are focusing attention on LCD technoogy. I would expect price wars soon.
i hope for price drop on dell 2407...
