This one also has a 6 cell battery vs. 3 cell from Office Max. Either way Acer is junk... All I seem to hear is they breakdown all the time. Who agrees? I am in the market to get a netbook, but i am leaning towards the Asus or Samsung pay a little bit more and get a better product that will last.

But for $50 more after MIR, you can get a new ASUS 1000HA for $299.99 from B&H.

10" screen, 160GB HDD, a 6 cell battery and a 1 year warranty. Plus I believe it has the 1000HE chicklet keyboard.

Part of the listing is incorrect, the system has GMA 950. I've never seen GMA 3100 in a netbook before; only in normal and subnotebooks.

#2: I'm with you on Acer notebooks (and desktops from a few years ago) are utter crap...but unfortunately, their Netbooks seem fine. I'm still not going to buy one, but there it is...

Strangely enough, I've had one of these beasties for a while, and though Acer manufactured it, it has performed quite well. I even upgraded the memory and changed out the Aetheros wifi for the Dell 1390 and Hackintoshed it.

So far, it's travelled Europed and Central America without hitches (with quite a few beatings).

I'm not a fan of Acer, but this thing seems to be just fine.

      #2,#5:
Both of you are fulla sh1t. I've got a 10 year that physically beats his Acer Aspire One (w/6 batteries) like a drum. Dropped it and slammed it shut - no problems.

      I like it - it's a good box.
