      Seems like a decent buy. I wonder if cheap 22-24" monitors will have LED backlights anytime soon.

      Microcenter $160. Tax raises it to about the same as newegg, and returns of defectives are so much easier if you're in the neighborhood. Which I am. I'd much rather do bidness with MC.

      #1, The dell G2410 which is 24" led backlight, sells for < $210 on "sale". But some reviews say it has a bluish hue due to the led backlight.

      I got a 25" Hanns-G from Newegg about 3 weeks back for $200. Not sure if 2" is worth $30 to you, but it was definitely worth it to me. Better deals out there.

      White LEDs are much less consistent in color than CCFLs due to the smaller surface area to be coated with phosphors. Hand-picked LEDs would be too expensive at these price points as is Sony's high-end RGB.
