True, #2. I already own an Iconia A500 16GB, but was buying a refurb unit for my younger brother to use while traveling.
Whatever tablet you buy, it's certain there will be something better about 10 hours later.
As long as you don't have an issue (my first one of these from Newegg was dented and had to be returned) these things are great. I bought two of them (one for the girlfriend and she loves hers). I also paid 50 or 60 bucks more. This is a good price!

In case you revisit old threads, Acer has released Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.x) for this tablet. My brother's refurb came with Honeycomb (Android 3.x), and I had to load an Acer-provided update from the Google Play Market before the ICS update showed up in System Updates.
Anything other than an iPad will make you look like a douche bag. Come on, gentleman. Have some self-respect and buy an Apple product.
