Seems like a good deal, no?
Not a bad deal...Not a bad monitor either. Specs are better than respectable.

I am very tempted.
no good.

TN panels are very cheap and have the fastest response times, but suffer from inferior color reproduction, contrast ratios and viewing angles. Low end, inexpensive.
Many of these 22" TN panels are around the same price or cheaper than other 20" monitors with different panel types, so it is easy to see how how they gained popularity. Afterall, the average user buys a monitor based on price and size.
Best bang for your buck at this price and size!
Yeah, I don't recommend Acer Monitors. I got a 20" that does 1600x900 for my kid to play games on. The backlight bleed is so bad on dark backgrounds that it almost makes me puke. It looks nice when theres a full color image on there that isnt too dark, but when you get into a transition like a game loading or a cutscene in a game its REAAALLLY bad! The one I bought was only $120 and it makes her happy playing her "My Little Pony" game so F*@$ it.
