Some body tell me, is this SIM card just for activating your iphone 4? I thought every brand new iphone 4 has a blank AT&T SIM card for activation?
Ben's description says it all. It lets you use the features of your phone (except calling, 3G, etc) without having to have an active AT&T account.
I'd say this would be for those who "accidentally picked up", or "find" an iPhone.
Cant you just hold it like a normal phone to turn off the phone feature?

Why the fck on earth do I need this if a "brand new" iphone 4 already has 1 AT&T micro SIM card inside for activation?
To activate iPhone, you have to have sim card plus iTunes. First your iPhone (new or just restore it) will stuck on "Connect to iTunes" screen. You have to connect to iTune then iTune will read information on your sim card and connect to ATT (of course).
If sim card is not ATT, it will return error.
If sim card is ATT but new, it will walk you through the step to sign for 2 years contact with data plan.
If sim card is ATT and pulled from your old phone, activation will be done and you will be automatically charged for monthly data plan.
If you are not on the case above, obviously you want to unlock the phone, this sim card helps to activate iPhone. This mean you can continue jailbreak then unlock your phone.
