It's hard not to notice the Macbook Air deal with similar specs for $500 less. If Dell really wants to compete with the Air, they need a laptop that costs less, not more.

Dell's answer to the Macbook Air is a Dell with a Mac price, good plan.

Sony's small laptops kill this thing in performance for not much more money.

The Adamo was never meant to compete with Macbook Air. Ben just pulled that bit of information out of his ass as usual.

Adamo was introduced as Dell's luxury-line of laptop. The chassis is unique in that regard, it's lightweight but not to compete with the Air. It's aluminum chassis with etching and a finish for people who want a laptop that looks more like a rolex.

Unfortunately, the specs for it fall short. 4-5 hour battery life is pretty standard from Dell now, the Latitudes can get more.

#5 Sony's laptops have a great screen but the rest of it is piece of baconnaise quality. Remember they had more than one battery recall? They are known for having issues with power connectors going bad and/or overheating.

As far as people who defend Macs, they will always defend Macs. A Mac is a computer for people who are incompetent to operate computers.

They get an external Bluray for it ready but the darn thing only handle up to 720p???? per Ubergizmo. Of course gaming is out of the question. They should have use AMD PUMA so at least it can handle FullHD and not so Hidef gaming.

At this price point the Air is also a strong competitor.

Charge more for lackluster specs and attempt to give it a fancy name. Good job Dell, I guess that qualifies as luxury.

"Wow! That's a good looking laptop."
      "ew... A Dell?"
      "$1500? I'll rather get a MacBook Air"
Yes, We know it never meant to be compete with the Air.
But how about what other 98% of people think?

"Be the first one or the only one".
Apple introduced the "standard" of Ultra-Thin. Unless Dell create something very different, otherwise Adamo can only be define as "Dell's MacBook Air"

Performance versus price, not sleekness and popularity is the key to a good deal. 1500 is not a bargain.
