^ You're still good because it uses a low voltage AC-DC adapter, because the voltage present in the pool is not high enough to make a conductive path across pool water.
Literally you can hang a live AC-DC adapter plug in water for years and the only problem will be rust. However they did not make it clear whether this is waterproof in use, as waterproof devices are sometimes only waterproof when not in use, with a rubber plug covering the connectors.
