I bought this camera for my daughter last June and its been fantastic - The build of the unit is quite sturdy and the image quality is fantastic for the price... This is a far better product then the "toy" camera pricetag it has.

The "ip" sounds like a "z" sound. Wink

Check your local Circuit City for these. Mine had a half dozen on the shelf, back when everything was 30% off, they were going for ~$85 + tax.

I disagree. My brother-in-law bought one and it was nothing but problems. It lost all kinds of videos and snapshots, plus the quality of the video was not that great. It was returned.

Takes great video for a cheap price. It has no image stabilization, so it needs a tripod or the video will be shakey. . Battery life is really short so you need spares. Also need to buy a memory card. So you need to spend about $30 in accessories. Not great for a main video camera, but great for a cheap camera you can carry anywhere and not worry about damaging it.

I've been trying to get a good mini-digital camcorder like this, and they've all been junk. The build quality hasn't been good, and we're on our third one. The Agfa one WalMart sells was decent, but the audio quality was "fringe-area AM radio."

This class of camcorder requires you to have low expectations. Pity the price isn't in line with the expectations.
