    Stick with helicopters if you're looking for cheap RC flyers, and avoid airhogs.

    A) these are crap. Even the dude that designed them said the plant in china totally botched the manufacture. You need to go thru a mod to even get it to fly correctly. I've seen these as cheap as $7 and still didn't pick one up.

    B) #2, I agree that everything Air Hogs makes is crap, but not everything they license is. Quite a bit of the stuff they sell in the US is silverlit stuff, and it's amazing. The air hogs line of RC planes is stunning from a cost/performance factor, and I haven't had very many issues with equipment dying on me.
