Hehe... "Holds up to 600 regular size CD Jewel cases"... yeah right
I bought the 800-disc version of this a couple of years ago. It was wider and had four sections instead of three. Assembly was poor and the dividers were riveted in crooked, so the included disc pockets couldn't hang straight. It sucked.
I have 3 x 510 version of this, as well as a 1000 disk version. I must say that while I'm about 85% satisfied with the 510 CD/DVD case, the 1000 disk case wasn't built nearly as solid.
Usually you're supposed to use tougher material to build something bigger, but I guess these guys didn't get it.
Seems awful expensive for this kind of case, I used to buy cases like these from www.mcmelectronics.com back in the day for like $20. Can't seem to find them on their site anymore tho. And bear in mind, these things aren't heavy duty indestructable alumnimum cases. They are hard cardboard (think a clipboard), with a razor think sheet of aluminum on the outside to give the "look". They still will hold up pretty well, but aren't too hard to puncture.
I haven't bought a cd/dvd since the RIAA/MPAA was founded. Got hard drive?
The quality isn't as good as the pictures make it look to be.
think corrugated plastic with aluminum bindings
Can this hold a body???
