I got this a couple of weeks ago for $6.00. It works well with an old laptop hard drive I had. It's very basic. Just an aluminum case with a plastic cap on one end and the pcb board to conect your hard drive to the USB cable on the other end. The USB cable has two conectors on one end in case your pc doesn't provide enough power for the drive with just one. I've tried it on three pc's and it worked with just one of the conectors on all of them.

I got one about a month ago, for the same price. It arrived in a few days, packed OK. Only con was cosmetic: some ratty stitching on the raw edge of faux leather pouch (still handy and usable).
I echo #1's experience. It's a good deal if you have an old IDE drive from a laptop that you want to use as a portable drive.
