Isn't this extremely cheap? Every case I've seen has been like $50 - $10, course they might have been sturdier metal, but still...
Where can I get one of these $10 aluminium cases?
I got this thing last time it came around. It barely fits my 15in laptop and its power brick. I have to tightly wind up the cords and position them /just so/ in order to get the two to fit inside. it MIGHT fit a 17in widescreen unit, but you would have no space left for the power brick. My 15in laptop takes up ALL the space from top to bottom, leaving about 2in on the side to stow my power brick and its cords. It really is very thin, and its not real aluminum, either. Just aluminum colored. Its all plastic. OK maybe the top panel has a thin sheet of aluminum on it, but thats it. Even the clasps that hold the shoulder straps on are plastic, and come off easily. If the case is laying on a table, and you pick it up by the shoulder strap, there is a chance the clasp will come off. It's happened to me several times. You have to be careful when walking of loading it into a car, or the clasp will come undone and your laptop will take a tumble. The plastic piece that holds together two sections of the strap itself has snapped, so I have no shoulder strap now. It all feels very cheaply done. All that being said, if you want a case to hold your average size notebook and nothing else (save for a couple sheets of paper, or a few pens, or a memory card [something thin]) and you don't care about using a shoulder strap...this could be the cost-effective solution for you. Otherwise, bug off.
Put a number on the side and you've got one of those "Deal or No Deal" cases.
Needed one..got one..thx
