WTF?
That thing kinda sucks, but this thing kinda rules:
http://www.buy.com/prod/aluratek-airmm01f-internet-radio-alarm-clock-with-built-in-wifi/q/loc/101/208080720.html
Why do you need a usb stick to listen to a radio station that is broadcasting over the internet? SCAM!
It runs vtuner, you can find some crazy stations that you never knew about, sorted in a browser-able way.
I think it appeals to the "shortwave" type listener more than the "morning zoo" FM listener.
The stand alone radio kicks rapidly sucking XM's nutsack, what with the coming increase in prices and the bad Sirius constant talking subscription FM djs.
Live 365 is way better and free! Check it out http://www.live365.com
#4, I agree wholeheartedly about XM sucking since the merger. The DJ's are especially annoying and the Sirius stations that replaced Fred, Ethel, and Lucy just don't measure up. They are using limited playlists and repeating songs way too often. I'm listening to Slacker since I bought the Slacker 1 from Woot.com With Slacker.com and the Slacker portable radio, I'm wondering whether this Internet Radio Jukebox would just gather dust after a short while. Are there ads on the IR Jukebox? The Slacker certainly hasn't been gathering dust. There are folks in the Slacker community that share their customized. There are even replacement stations for Fred, Ethel and Lucy. I havne't had the time to listen to them yet, but my own customized stations are keeping me well entertained.
It runs on vtuner

So it just gathers like 11,000 feeds and you can sort through them by location, genre. So if the station has commercials then you hear them (not constant XM self-promos though)
I don't know if the USB would really be worth it, but the clock radio hooked up to a stereo is great.
I know it is all free on line, but I wanted an physical radio, not a computer, to use. And it has helped me find a lot stations I would have never found because they are in other languages.
GOD, channel 43, I hear a song I like and within a few days i have heard it 300 times, it's totally what they are doing to people at gitmo.
the punk station, move, classic hip hop.....they are all gone.
I would like to record streaming audio like you would use a TIVO, but I don't know what's the best recording program out there. Any suggestions?

I don't get it. How does this work?
