6500K is not "warm white". It's actually close to sunlight. Warm white is around 3000K, and cool white around 5000K. Anyway, I ordered one to try it out, will see what is the actual color temperature.

The manufacturer's specs on this are ambiguous, as though they are not binning the LEDs at all, just stating that you might get warm white or if it isn't then it's brighter. They state on the linked page:

    - Temperature (Kelvin): 10W 4500K-6500K (850lm) - 2600K-3700K (720lm)

Now, it is possible they eventually plan on releasing both a warm white and cool white version of the same light and this is truly guaranteed to be within 2600K to 3700K, but the wording doesn't clarify this, the mistake could be the color temperature and lumen rating or it could as easily have been calling it warm instead of cold or it could be a lottery.

#3 yeah, doesn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling. Fortunately Newegg's customer service is legendary if this light turns out to be crap.

I bought a couple 3-packs of LED lights at Costco recently for $5 per bulb. They're 4 Watts and put out 450 lumens. The PWM (pulse width modulation) ((flicker)) was too noticeable for my tastes so they all became my outdoor lights.

^ Are you sure they used PWM at all? On the cheap lights with series of over ~ 40 individual LEDs, they tend to direct drive them with current limiting so what you get is a 60Hz (or doubled 120Hz) line frequency flicker instead of the typical few thousands Hz (KHz) flicker of PWM.
