My i920 kicks this in the butt at stock

He probably means the i7 920.
Seems like the better deal is to get the Phenom II X3 and unlock the forth core.
Soo connected to an AM2+ this uses 30 more watts?
Is this faster than a Phenom 9950 black edition? I'd guess it would be since clock is the same and has more cache?
