i ordered one, 9:30pm of 7/3/10 (PST), but my invoice showed 7/4/10 (EST), will that be a problem for me to get my rebate?
I did not realize or even think about that till my order is confirmed.
I finally found out that OEM version has shorter warranty than regular retail ones, it is only 12months, not 36 months, and the package is different too.
"Q: I bought my product during the rebate's timeframe but received it after the rebate redemption period expired. Can I still redeem my rebate?
A: Yes. Simply provide valid proof that your shipment was delayed such as a packing slip showing when the product was shipped."
Straight off their FAQ's
Yes, it will be a problem and I'll bet you don't get your rebate. Its tigerdirect after all, and even if they put the proper date on the invoice, you, more than likely, still wouldn't get your rebate. They use EVERY available excuse to not honor rebates and your dilemma is a great excuse for them. Cancel your order if not getting that rebate sours the deal because you aren't getting it.
to #4, thanks for the advice. I did cancel the order even they said they may hournor the rebate after i have cancelled the order. not worth to risk it because it is $40 dollars. most likely not to get the rebate.
I would have called and requested they change the date to the correct 7/3 order date so you qualified... then cancelled if they gave some BS like "we can't".
Tiger Direct does not seem to be nearly as bad about rebates as they used to be. Seldom do I shop there but awhile back they had a good after rebate price on a dual core core2 CPU, I don't remember which one but anyway that rebate came back without any problem or delay.
