Interesting. An AMD CPU that costs more than $60. Is it made of solid gold?

No #6, it is made up of your fanboi tears and that is why it is so precious and expensive.

All kidding aside #5 is right i5/i7 are better. However if you have an AMD platform with a dual core cpu you would still be better off avoiding this chip due to its higher TDP and get the 955 instead.

Dumped a Pentium III 800 and went with the PowerLeap 1.3Ghz Tulatin, that later I OC'd and got to miss the whole P4 487 hipe.
When I did change it was to AMD 4000+ on the 939 the boys still use.

The down side of the i5/i7 is overall cost, a desent mobo and ram eats up $400 quick.
And I wish Tom's would updaate their CPU chart for the i5!
