Love the phenom II's - i have this very cpu running at a stable 4.1 on air, and i haven't even gotten aggressive with the fsb or memory timings yet (but favor rock solid stability over a few hundred mhz)

at this price, it almost makes me want to put together a second rig with some of my spare parts lol.

Why AMD call off battle with other cpu maker so early?

i don't see how amd has called off the battle with intel... keep in mind - gaming might hold all the bragging rights, but it's actually a very small segment of the marketbaconn some serious CAD or 3d rendering, and bulldozer is an incredible chip. for gaming - the new 8 cores stink, and are in fact inferior to these phenom II chips - but for things other than gaming - they hold their own quite competently.

Additionally - name the intel chips you can get for sub 150 - in terms of bang for the buck amd puts a lot of muscle in your hands even on the low end.
