They make laptops so light and economical now that you have to carry around a ball bearing tray with you that weighs more than the laptop. I'll bet it is wonderfull for TV dinners and people who dont have tables or trays..or a life.

How well will this work with a 15" or bigger, laptop, since the cooler is only 13" wide..

I bought this to use with a Macbook. Now, I just use it as a stand for the Macbook, because, according to some unscientific testing I ran using Temperature Monitor from Bresink bacon, it makes absolutely no difference in any of the several temperatures measured by the monitoring software. The only advantage I can see is that, by allowing the fan in your laptop to run a little less, it might extend the life of your machine, but then honestly, how many times have you had to ditch a laptop because the fan burned out?

Agreed, gone are the days of Pentium 4 laptops. No need for these things at all. It won't say help you overclock your laptop video card (or CPU if you could) any higher, so what's the point. Useless.

The cheapest cooling pad I've seen so far. Hopefully this will buy me a bit of time until I'm ready to trash my laptop - which overheats and shuts down every now and then if you haven't guessed it already - and move on to the next.

Who needs tables to hide under if the bomb goes off..Just pop out your laptop cooler and your as safe as ever. It may even repel ratiation at lower levels if your duct tape it to your new wristband made of real titluminum.

this does not make sense at all. why would you bring this heavy thing with you> notebooks are supposed to be light as much as possible. travel with this? no thanks

#9, 15" laptop is saying the diagonal length, 13" length 11" width diagonal length is about 17"

These things work well. It weighs 720g so it isn't like you're lugging around any additional weight and cools down the laptop and your legs.
