This is great if you tend to leave your laptop on all the time. I've fried two laptops (under warranty) before I got this. There's a hi and low fan speed setting. The hi setting is a little loud.

This is nice for larger laptops. My 12" powerbook doesn't fit very well on top.. nor does the 13" macbook. It works really well for my acer 15" though... even on the low setting. The high setting is kind of loud (like what the other post said)

nice to have this as a "docking station" when setting up my laptop at home.

it does not blow, it sucks heat from the laptop and blow it out.
