You know you're a geek when you can rationalize that the geek that's resisting the urge to buy a spare power supply when his doesn't really need it is actually a good idea to buy it.
Yes, This is temping for 30 bucks A/R.. 12Volts@48A is powerful enough to run anything.. The dual PCI rail with 6pin and 8pin is a plus, can handle most Power hungry video cards out there. I'am glad #1 post his comments. I own more than ten PS and don't really needs another one. I like the word (Resist). That the game around here. Knows what to and what not to buy here although everything seems temping.. Beside, If you got a good power supply, You don't really need a back-up like this one. If you need to buy this, Put this in your machine and take the old one out as back-up..
Good price. Good reviews. Don't Need. Must resist.
You know you're a major geek when you have to resist buying a power supply for your computer you don't really need...
Yeah but PSU have a tendency to fail without much warning so it's good to have a spare.
You know your a geek when you already have a spare PSU but you have to resist this because the spare is Bronze and this is silver.

Rather be a geek with an extra spare PSU than a geek without one.
I don't think it's only one spare PSU we are dealing with here...
Does not come with a AC power cord.
But for all the geeks out there like me, here's an unboxing uTube video about this PSU made by a geek for geeks:

If it's a spare psu, you don't need a power cord. You already have one.
