This is a great case. This case has great cooling and lots of room. I got mine back in November and the rebate didn't come in until March. 4 months is a long time to wait for a rebate. I got mine for $63.00 after rebate and it droped a little lower than that after I bought mine. I haven't seen it that low this year yet.
hey #1, how much dust are you finding with all of that airflow?
#2, not that much. blow it out with a compressor once every month or two, and wipe off the front grille once a week.
no rebate!
did you retrofit yours with airconditioner filter media?
#5, adding air filters will restrict airflow, forcing the fans to run harder and louder.
i've gotten into the habit of super-cleaning my place about once a week, and i just take care of the computer at the same time. it takes 5 or 10 minutes to blow out the dust once a month. compared to the amount of time i waste sitting on digg, it's really no big deal.
#6, Thanks, i agree that it would restrict airflow, but didn't relate it to fan speed & noise. i'm just a lazy ass that doesn't want to haul his case outside periodically to dust it out
I'm sure you can find an air filter that won't restrict the airflow too much if you really want that. Cleaning out the case is too much a burden for me. I only do it when things are looking really congested.
Try using a bounce dryer sheet or antistatic cloth instead of a AC filter.
Great case but loud if you use the fans. This thing is great for water cooling as it has the hole already in back.
Really solidly built case. Antec, once again, delivers a superb product. All of the fans have small speed-adjusting knobs next to them. Be warned, these beasts are HEAVY.
