looking at the history, the price goes up everytime there's a "deal" on this
Great home UPS. Replacement batteries from local BatteriesPlus store are about $60. APC has traditionally gone up on their prices in their BackUPS and SmartUPS lines, they've rarely go down. They bring out new models with slightly better specs and a small increase in price. I am not saying that they are evil, just how they do business. I only buy APC, BTW.
Raw materials costs and transportation expenses are hitting the battery industries.
APC is one of the few companies that have never let me down. I recommend APC to everyone, and have this unit on my desk. Batties from APC are not too expensive if you buy enough that APC waives the shipping fee, but I have had good luck with local battery vendors who charge less for the same model.
#4 works for APC.
APC is the only way to go for a 'low priced' ups. Batteries are even cheaper online from batterybarn, etc...
Circuit City also shows a $10 MIR for this unit... just FYI.
Take this deal to Staples and get them to price match. They will also let you use one of their $25 off $100 online/in-store coupons and get it for even less.
How much time does this hold a normal Laptop?
