Buy.com has the APC SurgeArrest Performance 11-Outlets Surge Suppressor P11VNT3 at a good price of $34 with free shipping. It provides six outlets that are large enough to accomodate power bricks, as well as five additional surge protected outlets.
Don't know but I was buying APC exclusively for many years until recently when 2 APC pro surge suppressor's died. One smelled like smoke. Going to shop around this time.
#6, they typically die when encountering a large surge, like most if not all low-end consumer surge protectors would.
#5, where do you see APC charging less than $34 for an UPS? Even then, I'll agree this product ought to cost a little less, they seem to price it as if their primary competition is Monster. Similar products in the past may have had fewer outlets but cost about half this on sale if not less.
#6 the same thing happend once to me as well, but luckily the 2 connected ups's were not affected. Just had to replace the surge suppressor at the front of the line.
#6 You can try tripp lite product-- Tripp lite product get great quality and wonderful service. I used them for my serious equipment and they never disappoint me. Trip lite product carry life time warranty - One of my TRipp lite surge protector fails after 10 year's use and the replacement arrived my home 10 days after I call them..
Question : What purpose does the wireless antenna shown in the photo serve? Thanks in advance!
Please ignore post #1. The cake is a lie!!!
that's not a wireless antenna... that's the power cord that was chopped off at the edge of the photo.
#1 - You mean you're still getting your electricity the old fashion way, over wires? Ha! That is so last century!
why does APC charge more for this surge suppressor than they do for a UPS?

The wireless antenna prevents the government from listening in on your wireless conversations.

CyberPower are the best. The clamp down time is far superior to APC.
